River Valley Organics is a division of
River Valley Landscapes. River Valley Landscapes was founded in 1991 by Brad groff and Doug Caldwell as a specialty design build landscape company.
In 2000, River Valley Organics was formed as a specialty contract division specializing in the pneumatic application of landscape mulches and organic based materials. This has grown into a wide variety of specialty services and we are now one of Pennsylvania 's premier companies of this type.
River Valley Organics is a Penn DOT business partner.

Our staff includes several seasoned and experienced team members who will provide solutions for your projects and make them happen so that you look good.
Doug Caldwell is the president of River Valley Landscapes and the general manager of River Valley Organics. Doug is a 1991 graduate of Delaware Valley College in Doylestown PA. He has a degree in Ornamental Horticulture and a specialization in environmental design. He also is training to be a CPESC through the International Erosion Control Association as well as being a Pennsylvania Accredited Nurseymen. Doug is an active member of the local board of school directors and enjoys spending time off with his family.
Leroy Wheeland has worked for River Valley Organics for about 4 years. Leroy brings a great deal of mechanical and field experience to the compay with his background with heavy equipment operation and site management experiences in the cnstruction industry and US Army. Leroy is the production manager for the blower truck crews. Leroy is an active member of his town council and the Boy Scouts of America.
Carlos Dafonseca has been with River Valley for about 6 years and has a great deal of landscape and equipment operating experience with our specialty equipment. Carlos is easy to talk to and always does his best to insure that our customers are satisfied. Carlos is one of our primary equipment operators.
Joshua Little is starting his third season with River Valley Organics. Josh is energetic and always willing to make sure that the job is done right.
Kory Bortner is new to the River Valley Organics Team but has been with River Valley Landscapes for over 5 years. Kory's expertise in plant knowledge and practical field applications is a valuable asset to our team . Kory will work with the customers to make sure that all of landscape mulch applications are always done to perfection. Kory is an avid outdoosman who really enjoy's spending time on , or in some cases in, the water.
Wes Williams is a crew leader with the drive to make your job a success. They bring years of experience to our staff with a variety of related fields and within the equipment operation line of work.

Mike Sellers is the slinger truck operator and brings 20+ years of construction experience to our companys.
Jonathan Hunt is our in house erosion control expert who brings many years of experience to our staff including having worked closely withthe PA DEP and with county conservation districts as a proffessional plan review technician . He is an invaluable source of information to the site contractor who wants to stay in compliance.
Our talented office staff includes Dana Smith, Michele Crozier, and Melinda Hively. They handle most of the everyday duties of running the business from awnsering the phones to invoicing and paying the bills.
